Ondina Waldron, LMHC

Ondina Waldron, LMHC at Life Connections Counseling in Tampa FloridaOndina Waldron is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who has provided counseling to children (ages 5 and up), adolescents, and adults since 2011. Because Ondina believes that all of us all experience difficulties and challenges that can prevent us from living a victorious life filled with joy and peace, she is passionate about assisting clients in working through these challenges to attain the life God wants for them.

Ondina has extensive experience providing Christian Faith-Based Counseling. She utilizes an eclectic theoretical approach with emphasis on Christian Counseling, Play Therapy (for children and youth), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
More specifically, Ondina has worked with children and adolescents in both clinical and academic settings in her role as a school counselor at the high school and elementary levels. Ondina is very familiar with the many of the struggles children and adolescents encounter in school, such as bullying; peer relationship conflicts; peer rejection; parental abandonment; self-harm; suicidal ideation; body-image issues; attention deficit hyperactivity; oppositional defiance; separation anxiety and worries related to grades.

Additionally, Ondina has served in many capacities in her church (e.g., Lay Guidance Counselor and Facilitator; Sunday School Teacher; Women’s Group Leader; Women’s Ministry Leader; Deaconess; and Trustee). She additionally served as a faith-based peer mentor to women at a correctional facility. Those roles built on her counseling gifts. In her spiritual and professional work with adults, Ondina has addressed relationship challenges between spouses; relationship challenges between parents and children; issues relating to health concerns; anxiety; depression; grief; and loss.
Ondina worked as a Human Rights Specialist with the Commission on Human Rights and as a Paralegal with the New York City Law Department before moving to Florida and earning her master’s degree in professional counseling from Liberty University in 2011.

Ondina comes from a Latin family. Her mother is Puerto Rican, her father was from Honduras, and she speaks Spanish. She is married and was blessed to bear a child whose existence is a testament to the fact that the Lord does answer prayers.

Ondina feels extremely honored to be a part of the Life Connections Team. She joined the team in August of 2026 and looks forward to meeting you.
